Pam and Macky Stansell have been pleasing tourists and locals alike in the Ocean City, Maryland community for the past 38 years. The adventure began in 1978 with the creation of Tio Gringo’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina. Where Tio Gringo’s was a Mexican cantina, Macky’s Bayside Bar & Grill embodies the “Good Life!” Stepping through the door, our customers transcend into their own private tropical oasis. The beautiful white sand beach is private, the bar is open air, and the umbrellas are free. As the sun fades over the horizon, the patriotic sounds of Kate Smith’s WWII war bond song “God Bless America” fills your ears and can’t help but take your breath away. Always serving cold beer and delicious frozen drinks, our clientele is diverse, and the only thing we ever overlook is the bay.
Macky’s has been fortunate over the years to develop some wonderful relationships with its customers that transcend the typical customer service relationship. Since customer service is and always will be our #1 priority, our staff takes pride in pleasing our customers and keep them coming back. Macky’s is proud to have a wide range of returning clientele, as well as returning staff members. Our customers have helped us develop a reputation that has been commended in The Baltimore Sun, Washington Post, as well as The Washington Post Magazine.
With Ocean City’s population growing week by week, Macky’s takes pride in its small town community feel. Macky’s success over the past 39 years have allowed Pam and Macky the honor to give back to that community and donate over $1,700,000 to local charities.
