Now Hiring Sous Chef/Line Cooks
Macky’s Bayside Bar and Grill, a high volume, fast-paced casual seasonal restaurant located in Ocean City, MD is looking for a sous chef/line cooks. We are an independently operated restaurant, being in business at the same location for over 40 years. Salary is commensurate with experience with health benefits and profit sharing for the right candidate.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position. Other duties may be assigned.
- Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner
- Properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions
- Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
- Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation
- Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality
- Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
- Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
- Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef
